As part of an overall roadway and sidewalk improvement program for the City of Summit, MKW was responsible for all landscape architectural design. A new street tree planting program and streetscape vocabulary was developed to establish a strong sense of rhythm, pattern and color throughout the Downtown. Additionally, several public open spaces were designed, including the Lyric Lot Sitting Area, the Horse Trough Plaza, and the Union Place Gateway to enhance the pedestrian experience and promote social interaction.
