Mr. Goodstein, an Associate, joined the firm in December of 2014.  He graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture from Rutgers University in May of 2014.  Before Rutgers, Ryan studied Architecture at Mercer County Community College where he received his Associates Degree in 2011.

Ryan is a highly diligent team leader who has successfully managed a variety of projects. These projects include the design of parks, playgrounds, athletic fields, college campuses and rooftops. In addition to management, coordination, and review with the project team and subconsultants, Mr. Goodstein is involved with the production of conceptual and schematic design presentation graphics, design development drawings, construction documentation, specifications, and cost estimates. His experience is thorough from the conceptual and schematic design phase through construction documentation to construction observation and administration.

Mr. Goodstein has worked on the production and development of schematic and construction documents for the waterfront property and rooftops of a new high rise along Kent Avenue in Brooklyn, NY.  Mr. Goodstein also worked on the new layout of pedestrian and vehicular paths, new plaza entrances and landscape revitalization for the AG Quad at Cornell University, which was completed in 2017.  Also, Mr. Goodstein served as the project manager for the landscape and site lighting of a senior living community in Delaware County, PA. More recently, Mr. Goodstein managed the streetscape and 46,000 SF green roof design for a new NYC Department of Sanitation Garage, located in Brooklyn NY.

Ryan has worked on progressing the schematic design and construction documentation for the streamside restoration for a nature center in Bergen County, NJ. He is also currently managing the landscape design and reforestation efforts of two secure facilities for the Juvenile Justice Commission in New Jersey.  

Mr. Goodstein has also been involved with several NYC Parks projects. Ryan coordinated with a team of consultants to receive approvals from various city agencies. These projects include a 4.4-acre synthetic turf field in Flushing Meadows Corona Park, two adjacent parks and a comfort station in Harlem, NY, a 0.5-acre playground in Flushing Queens, NY and a 0.9-acre park in Brooklyn, NY. 

Conceptual designs that Mr. Goodstein has worked on include a new educational and Master Gardeners site in Mercer County, NJ, the campus master plan for site and landscape improvements at Felician University in Rutherford, NJ, the layout of athletic fields in Ridgefield Park, NJ, and a suitability analysis for the potential of Extensive Vegetative Roof Assemblies for the Holland and Lincoln Tunnels.
